Equipment Dark
A resource pack that makes equipment and tools dark! (Plus the in-game HUD)
Continuity or OptiFine is heavily recommended, though not necessary. These mods allow for emissive textures in resource packs, which this one includes. Feel free to play vanilla if you want.

This resource pack does also change the block selection outline to turquoise, but if you want to choose a specific color, check out this other resource I've made.
